Are some cabins in better locations??

:thumbsup2Congrats on your uncoming trip.

We love the FT Cabins. Being a large family (7) there is plenty of room and we love the private space, outdoor deck and homey feeling.

One request that I do make, when making reservations, is to have a cabin that in 2-3 cabins into the loop. We have stayed at the cabins 3 times. Twice in the 2400 loop and once in the 2700. Each time were we not that far into the loop.

Having 2 in strollers, no golf cart, etc., being just inside the loop was nice because we had privacy and yet were able to get to the bus stop without having to hike past 50 cabins.

I am getting itchy for a WDW trip, but it is not going to happen this yr.

Wishing you a great trip.:)

we skipped the car and golf cart and loved being in the 2700 loop. 2-3 cabins in, is perfect. We had 2703 and were able to walk to the bus stop, or directly to the outpost but had a super quiet, absolutely lovely location!

I'd requested 2200, which was full and couldn't have been happier with where we ended up. Short walk to the quiet pool as well.

Thanks! Sorry you can't do it this year... we tried all sorts of packages to get it to where we could do it, 4 nights, 3 free, w/dining w/o dining etc. We finally decided that we really wanted the dining plan again and decided the free dining was the ticket. really loved the weather in Dec. and not too fond of the August heat... but I can't change her B-Day:cutie: and the woodsy atmosphere will make it a little cooler:thumbsup2:
Maybe you can get there soon though. I never thought of asking for the cabin to be near the beginning of the loop. I just requested a loop near the comfort station, and was not able to get it. Totally loved it anyway!!!!:woohoo:

We stay in the cabins every 3rd year and always request the 2100 loop. There is a path that takes you through another loop and then right to the meadows store/pool area. From there, it really is not too bad a walk to the Marina area if you (like us) try to avoid the busses.

Just to put some cold, hard numbers to it, using craiggers route from the closest cabin through the comfort station at 1100 all the way to the end of the dock is 9/10ths of a mile. From the furthest cabin on 2100, it is 1 mile. "Not to bad a walk" is highly subjective, so I thought the numbers might help folks decide if walking is an option for them.
