I'm heading down next weekend and really hoping to see Soarin' and the Motor stunt show(at MGM). Does anyone know if these are running shows every day? If so, are the times set? Or is it luck that these might be running?

No they are still in soft opening status. They may be running shows or the ride is working for only certain times of the day.

I have friends who were there last week. They said neither were open while they were there. I think Soarin is opening in May, but you may catch one of the soft openings. We're going in June and hope that both will be open! Have a great time!!

Both the stunt show and Soarin will be open starting May 5. Until they have they their grand opening you may be lucky enough to catch the show and Soarin. They are both great.

We are heading down next weekend to0. From everything I gather here and on other boards it sounds like there is no firm plan for them to be open, but that soft openings are likely. IOW, it's anyone's guess, I think. I did see one report that Soarin' would be running from open until 7pm at least thru 4/30 (closing slightly earlier on 4/30 for a private event).

Have a great trip!

Just got back last night. Rode Soarin 7 times. It did break down once. The Land is open for the rides but the food court wasn,t open yet.Make sure you ask how it is working before you line up some people were in line for 80 mins. and then they shut the whole ride down. The car show wasn't open when we were there. It is really hit and miss. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

We were there for the DVC/AP preview on April 15-17. Rode Soarin a couple times during that.

On Monday the 18th I headed to the pool and DH went back to Epcot. He called me on the cell and said Soarin is open! I got dressed and boogied over. We rode it a couple more times.

Then on Tuesday we heard it was open again! We ended up riding 8 times total over the three day period. It is an awesome ride.

We never made it over to MGM but I heard from other patrons that the new stunt car show was open as well.

We just got back from WDW tonight. Soarin' was open all day every day were there. They did run out of FP's early a couploe of days though. We were at the Land this morning and they were training the cook staff in the food court and Garden Grill was open for dinner as early as Thursday. HTH

We were at MGM yesterday and the Stunt show was not open. We talked to a CM standing at the entrance and she very firmly stated it was not open until May 5, not even for sneak previews. However, not an hour later, a CM at the Backlot Tour told us there were none that day, however, they usually do run soft openings a couple of days a week. My thinking is you will find out nothing certain until you are actually at MGM. We were disappointed, but didn't count on seeing it due to the fact that it isn't officially opened.

We rode Soarin at 3:55 today with a Fast Pass!

When we got to the land at around 12:20, the standby wait for Soarin was 100 minutes. We got in line, but quickly changed our minds because the line was not moving at all. All day, the standby time bounced between 85-100 minutes. The line didn't look long, but with all the fast passes every 5 minutes, it really slowed down the standby line. At 12:30, our FastPass time was 3:55. Fast Passes were gone by the time we returned to the land at around 3:15.

Soarin was AMAZING!!! I love the scents they add to the scenery! I had goosebumps by the end of the ride because it was so amazing!

There are three rows of seats, and three sections of the three rows. The rows are then lifted into place as the ride begins and everyone has a front row view. It looked like the people in the A row were the highest, and we were in C and were the lowest. We could see only feet dangling high above us... it didn't really distract from the effects of the ride.

I was worried about wearing slip on sandles when I found out that your legs dangle. We were given instructions to leave our shoes on the floor in front of our seats. That worked fine.

Soarin was well worth the wait. I highly suggest Fast Pass!

Also, when exiting, be careful of the people in line above you... kids were spitting and throwing things as our group exited the ride!

Is there a single-rider line for Soarin'? If so, are they using it yet?

Yes, there is a SRL. It was closed on Saturday.

SafetyMom, we must have almost literally bumped into you there Saturday. Funny.

Went to Epcot on Tuesday and Soarin was open, we got there an about 6:30 and the stand by line said 40 minutes. However, we were riding in about 20 minutes. It was fantastic, this will be a "Don't Miss" attraction for us.
