Are Saratoga Springs boats operating?

But they would be lined up in the walkway near the HH and would need to be socially distanced in that line so there would be even more 6 foot stickers added into that walkway. And there are already a bunch for the bar and QS. They would most likely want the line stretching opposite the way to the pool, towards the road, which would put them alongside the main walkway. I just can’t see it working right now.

No, they’re rarely busy, but the line would be noticeable longer if it was socially distanced. Instead of a few people hanging around the rope, or wandering the sidewalk, they would all be lined up on the stickers down the sidewalk.

No, that would not be an issue. When were you at OKW last? They probably wouldn't even line up until the boat arrived at the dock.

The issue more than likely is no Temperature scan or security stop at the boat docks. Until they show up, the boats won't.

I’m at OKW almost monthly. Was last there middle of October. I know pre-COVID there was rarely a line, but during these times, people would have to stay in the line in order to guarantee they would have a seat on the boat, since it would be limited availability.

But I do agree that the temp checks and security checks at DS is another major reason these won’t be returning anytime soon. I hadn’t even thought of that. Very good point.

He also said that they only called the CM boat drivers back only after the cash side of Yacht, Beach Club, and Boardwalk re-opened, as those resorts funded the Epcot and HS friendship boats.

YC is the only cash side of these resorts that has reopened. BW Inn and BC Resort are still closed; only the DVC sides are open. And like the OKW and SSR boats, DVC member fees pay a share of the Friendship boats’ operating expenses. So that CM was only partially correct.

With almost daily announcements of restrictions being eased in one area or another, I'm hoping these boats will be up and running soon. Our first SSR and OKW stays will be in Oct.

Just left SSR, the redone rooms are very nice. We had perfect weather all week. It was Mid 70’s and breezy. Not very crowded. We really miss the boats. We have our car, but it just so much harder to get around without the boats running. Too many restaurants still closed too. I’m hoping Things get back to normal soon. It’s just not the same. I’m not a fan of having to order food in advance either. They definitely need more cast members. They seem to be overworking the few they have.

Has anyone recently stayed at Saratoga Springs? I'm trying to find out if the boats are operating between Saratoga Springs and Disney Springs. Thank you in advance

Just left SSR, the redone rooms are very nice. We had perfect weather all week. It was Mid 70’s and breezy. Not very crowded. We really miss the boats. We have our car, but it just so much harder to get around without the boats running. Too many restaurants still closed too. I’m hoping Things get back to normal soon. It’s just not the same. I’m not a fan of having to order food in advance either. They definitely need more cast members. They seem to be overworking the few they have.

Everyone is hoping the return of the College Program will be a HUGE game changer!

Not sure we’ll be going back until things normalize. I’m hoping by the end of the year.
