Excellent point. Thats why we no longer buy the mugs (well we did when we stayed at CR because you can refill 24 hours a day). What I noticed is my then teenage daughters would just grab a soda from the cooler instead of refilling the mug. They would bring back food from food court but would always forget their mugs. That was when the mugs were alot cheaper too. Now if I was to take my daughters (now 22 and 20) plus my DD12 and myself we'd spend over $50 just for the mugs. Instead I buy a couple of 12 packs and bring a cooler. I noticed during a Sept stay in WL they sell coolers (styrofoam). Another idea if you can't bring a cooler is 2 liter bottles they cost about $3 each. Compared to buying seperate drinks for everyone it can save you.crisi said:Not for us, but for some people
One thing to be aware of is that Disney resorts can be very large. The mug refill station is usually near the central pool. So if you drink a lot of pop and spend a lot of time by the pool, it can be well worth it. But if you aren't at your resort much, or if you are, but in your room and your room ends up being a five minute walk to get a soda, you may not get much use out of it.
