Are prepaid gratuities refundable?

i wondering if we prepay the gratuities for a sailing and for some reason we didn’t sail would those funds be refundable?

Also if we put money in our onboard account prior to sailing, say with our Disney Reward points and we didn’t sail would we lose that money?

One person in our party is having health issues and might have to cancel trip. so I’m reluctant to put money on our onboard accounts. All of us have insurance but through different plans.

Pre-paid gratuities are just applied to your on-board account and like other funds would be refunded if you canceled your cruise.

Yes, everything in your on board account in excess of the cruise itself is 100% refundable. The $$ will go back to the card / account it was paid from.

For example, if you have a $100 Disney Gift Card applied to your On Board Account, that money will go back to that gift card. If you applied $250 from your checking account, that money will go back to your checking account.
