Are points removed upon checking in/out or when reservation is made?

I just made our 1st reservation and the points are still showing in our inventory.

When are points reduced from your allotment? At the time of making the reservation, check in or after checkout?

They are taken when you book. If you are still seeing points you though you would be using, you may have used different points.

For example. I have 30 2022 Dec UY points still in my account if I wanted to book a Feb 2024 trip today and use those points for it, I would need to bank the, first.

If I didn’t, the. It would use my 2023 UY points instead, and if I didn’t realize that, it would look like it didn’t take the points I thought it should.

The weird thing is both 2022 and 2023 point are still showing but they did have to change re-write our contract, (use year and new promotion) between when the reservation was made and the re-write. We kept the same member ID though.

Not sure how this would impact things.

If the points are still in your account this morning, my advice is to call MS Something is wrong.

In the usual situation, the points change in your account immediately after making a reservation. You mention some redo of the purchase contract, which could possibly be the reason nothing has changed, but as mentioned above, you should contact MS and get the issue clarified if nothing occurs in a day or so, including because the redo of the contract might possibly result in the loss of your reservation.
