We are currently scheduled to spend the day at Epcot on June 10th. I just found out that Communicore Hall will be opening that day. Is this something that people are really excited about being there for opening day? Just wondering if you all think Epcot will be especially busy that day. If so, I'm thinking about rearranging our plans. I'm really only interested in spending the day going through World Showcase because I've only been to Epcot with little ones in the past who were not interested in World Showcase. This time I'm going with my almost 18 year old daughter.

I'm not the least bit excited by it. But yes, I do believe that it will be very busy on opening day. People will want to be one of the first to see it. Shortly thereafter there will be long threads here on the DIS about how great/terrible it is.

So will it be a big building with an "all the time" quick service restaurant and an encanto show (what are they saying about the show?)? Otherwise will it have lots of empty space except when Festivals are going on, and then there'll be the stuff that's usually scattered around the parks, all the food booths, in there? Or will the food booths still be scattered around the parks? I'm not sure I "get" the purpose of the building.

Booths will still be around
Pre-2019 the wonders of life /odassy pavilion was a festival center and during festivals they would have most of the merchandise as well as upcharged tastings, signings, hands on demonstrations …

So will Communicore Hall kind of be like that? As I remember, no one much even went inside the Wonders of Life Building except during the festivals(mostly during F&W). So do they expect that somehow people will go to Communicore Hall? Yeah, I want to go to the place that has festival favorite foods, but like I said, that leaves lots of empty space.

I just heard character spot (mice & goofy meet) festival center flux area and the stage initially used for the new encanto show

I am really, really hoping Communiore Hall will be a return to a Festival Center. DH and I truly have missed all of the offerings we used to enjoy, namely the wine tastings, the chocolate sculpture displays, merchandise, etc. The air conditioning was a very nice plus as well! We never got to experience Party for the Senses (kids were young lol) but would love to see that return as well. (though guessing not likely)
