Are park hours ever adjusted?

We have been watching the park hours at both Disney and Universal for the two weeks after Easter for the days of our split trip, and the two parks seem to be forecasting much differently from each other. While Universal seems to be cutting back on their hours of operation starting the week after Easter week, Disney seems to be continuing to carry their extended hours. If Disney is expanding hours due to anticipated crowds, I wonder why Universal would seem to be doing the opposite. Does Universal show a pattern, similar to how Disney adjusts on Fridays 3 weeks out, where they are likely to adjust hours at a certain time out from the date? I'm sure there is the possibility that Disney expanding park hours has nothing to do with expected crowds, but I find that unlikely, and I find it hard to believe that the two different parks wouldn't have similar increased traffic patterns.

Yes, park hours can be adjusted, as far as what one or the other does these days I would say is unrelated. I think many think that Universal does as Disney does and recently I personally believe it’s quite the opposite.
