I need some advice on this topic. There is a special in Canada right now where I can buy 5 day passes for the price of 3 except they are not park hoppers. I could spend about $81 Cdn more to buy 5 day hoppers on the Disney website (5 days for the price of 4). Is it really worth an extra $81 to be able to park hop? Is there going to be enough to do at DCA for a whole day with a 3 year old? I'd like to see the Electrical Parade (assuming it will still be there in Dec.) but I suppose it will only be running on weekends then. Would I be crazy to go to DCA on a weekend to see this? Any advice on what anyone would recommend would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Being able to park hop is nice, but I don't think its worth $81!!! When we went in May, we had park hopper passes and we never park hopped!!! We spent 2 full days at DL and 2 full days at DCA.
Because of the large price difference, I'ld get the 5 day pass!! That way you can spend 2 days at each park and on the 5th day choose your favorite park and go there!
Theres tons to do at both parks. Just make sure you get to see Fantasmic at DL and The Electrical Parade at DCA. When you get to Anaheim, check the show times, so you don't miss them!!!

Tough choice. If you don't park hop, I think will be kicking yourself. That area is perfect for parkhopping.
Try deciding based on how often you do or will go to DL/DCA. If it is a one time special trip -- then hop. If you will return in a year or less, then don't hop this time.

We had hoppers (buy 3 get 1 day free) from AAA. In four days, we only hopped once. One of the days that we spent at DL, we returned to the GC to swim and then went to CA for the Electrical parade. However, we did not have to do it that way, we could have done EP on a CA day. For $81, I would plan my days to eliminate the need to hop.
