My parents got married as soon as my mom got pregnant with me in High School and were divorced before I was delievered. Don't know my dad and mom gave me to my grandparents. They were the best example of marriage I could have asked for! They have been married 53 years in May.

My parents were married for 23 years when they divorced. They are both remarried and happy now.

Nope, my parents had their 25th anniversary in January, and are actually leaving on a cruise today to celebrate it. :goodvibes

My parents have been married for 55 years.
DH and I have been married for 32 years.
DSis1 has been married for 30 years.

then there is DSis2, who is on her 3rd marriage. One more and she makes up for all of us. :rotfl:

I really had to vote other because my family is so weird :rotfl: In my heart, I always think that my parents are happy and together because I really think of my stepfather as my father. The reality is that my Mom and biofather separated when I was one and never divorced. I had no contact with him for most of my life. My "stepfather" and my Mom have been together since I was 2 1/2 or 3. They, ofcourse, have been living in sin :rotfl: My biofather died about 2 years ago, so technically my parents could easily marry if they wished. They choose not to. Most of my friends growing up never even realized this about my family. It cracks me up now that they both have facebook pages and list their marital status as "it's complicated" :rotfl2: It's been complicated for 35 years so I think it works for them.

My parents were married for 32 years before my dad passed away. My mum never remarried. Says no one could measure up :(

We have been married 16 years

My parents divorced in 1976 after 28 months of marriage. Neither ever remarried...or even dated. My mother was too soured on men after that, and my father...well, his mother (he lived with his parents) just couldn't stand the thought of losing her precious baby boy to another woman.

I think that is sweet, romantic and yeah, a little sad. I know that is the way my grandparents would be and the same for me. DH amd I have been together since I was 15 will be married 17 years this summer. I hope we have a long life together but I know that is how I'd feel if something happened to DH. (Not knocing anyone who finds love again, I think that is wonderful, I just can't imagine after growing up with my DH that I could.)

My parents divorced when I was 3, and have not been friendly since. My mom has since been divorced 2 more times and is now living with another man.

My parents divorced after about 34 years of marriage. They have remarried since.

My Parents celebrated their 40th Anniversary in June.
DH's Parents have been married 41 years.
DH & I are celebrating 13 years this year.
I think our parents marriages were good examples to help us work through some of the hard times....they showed us that while you may not always agree, and the honeymoon is long over, to remember why you fell in love in the first place and work through our differences and even agreee to disagree at times.

My dad died when he was 48 and mom was 46; she never re-married. She died when she was 61.

I would feel the same way if my DH ever passed!

My parents have been married 55 years. I'm the only one in my entire family who has ever divorced (no aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc). Yes, I'm quite the rabble rouser. I have been married 25 years now to my second husband so I'm trying to win the rest of them back over to my side.

No, but they fought so much growing up, I wished they had, I even told them to.

My parents are divorced and dad is on #3 marriage.
