DW and I are taking our three-year old to OKW with our 5 year old nephew in May. Are there any dedicated 2 Bdr units at OKW? I worry about the little guys opening the door to the outside without me being aware of it.

There are over 200. Just make sure your reservation is for dedicated (it's not a request).

Most of the time, when you request a two bedroom, you will get a dedicated two bedroom. But check to make sure.

Thanks for asking this question...:)

So...what building would be the best to "request"...we would like to be close the main pool area, obviously a bus stop....we will have a 2 BDR for DH and I, DD11, DD23mths and two teenager boys (DS and buddy, 8th grade grad celebration)...plus we are getting a studio for my mom(70)....I did a search for info....bldg #13? I know there are a few bldgs w/elevators....are they in a good location?

Thanks for any input!

There are only three buildings with elevators - 62, 63 and 64.

It really doesn't matter where you are located. There a pools in each section. Turtle Pond has a larger unthemed pool. You can hop any bus from your area to the Hospitality House since they stop there last. And you can take the Internal Bus back to your area since it stops at the HH first and last.

Thanks..so Deb and/or Bill:)......which area do YOU prefer? And dont tell me the exact opposite !! lol...I once read how you disliked VWL....lol

We have stayed several times in the Turtle Pond area (35 x 2, 36). The pool is a bit bigger and usually less crowded. It's kind of centrally located for the resort. And they have some nice golf course/water views.

We have always wanted to stay along Trumbo Canal in the South Point Area, but haven't requested that area. Maybe in June. In Jan, Bill and his friend, Stephen, hope to stay in the Miller Road area so they can easily walk to the Marathon start.

We've stayed twice in the Peninsular Rd area, Bldg 27 was nice. Either 28 or 29 was a bit overgrown. 62, 63 and 64 were nice, but 64 doesn't have it's own parking lot.

And that's the truth!!:thumbsup2

They are changing so that the area around the HH are direct bookings and not requests. Rumors are they will convert as many requests to direct bookings as they can. The buildings with elevators are apparently being informally held for those with access issues such as scooters, difficulty with stairs, etc.
