Are mussels still a LUNCH appy @ LeCellier? Conflicting info.

If the Prince Edward Island Mussels aren't an appy at lunch, then truly it's the last straw for me. Please, no flames about how I should be grateful to just have a lunch reservation at LeCellier. I am allergic to shellfish, which limits what I can eat and so much of the lunch menu consists of entree salads and sandwiches..... I was resigned to only a few entree choices that would be interesting to me, so long as those mussels were available as an appy.

One site has them listed as still available, but allears says they are not. Both sites were updated 08/07. Both can't be correct.

Can anyone who has eaten there in the past few days to a week, tell me whether the mussels are still on the LUNCH menu? (I know they are still on the dinner menu.)

Uhm, the steaks that are on the dinner menu are also on the lunch menu.

They were there Tuesday. That said, the waiter said that the menu was changing on Sunday (coming up) and that there would be many changes. You may want to call the resort your staying at and ask them to transfer you to the restaurant due to menu concerns (that was easier for us than trying to call directly, we kept getting different numbers). When we called they were very helpful and since it was the source, they had the right answers.

Thank you Lisa. I'll call Sunday and ask about those mussels. My head is starting to hurt with all these menu changes so late in the day. I was dreaming of those mussels................

I called and got LeCellier on the phone. There WERE menu changes today/Sunday. BUT...mussels are still an appy on both the lunch and dinner menus. Considering I was lucky to get even lunch ressies so late in the game, I'm thrilled to be able to stop calling in hopes of a dinner cancellation. I'll stick with lunch now that I know my beloved mussels are on the menu.

They also added pan seared trout, some kind of scallops and a third dish that I cannot remember to the lunch entree selection. I have no idea what they dropped, if anything. Once I heard "mussels are still an appy," nothing really mattered.

Piglet54, could you please reply so I'll know you received my update?
