I was just curious. I see lots of references to Creative Memories and was wondering if the majority here scrap using that style.

Heather

Well I use a lot of Creative memories prodcuts - but I wouldn't call my scrapping CM style!
I LOVE the albums, tape runner, square maker and corner rounder and some of the other stuff!
I am PattyT on www.twopeasinabucket.com if ya wanna peak at some layouts!
And you ... you didn't answer your own question ;)

Like pattyT, I have a lot of CM products, but don't necessarily scrap in true CM style. I like to do my own thing. I never know how my pages will turn out when I first start them. Heck, I've been known to go back after thinking a page is complete and add something to it when I find that something.

Ok, Patty, your Fly layout was added to my BOS when you first posted it!!!! I loved it!!!!! Don't you just love Basic Grey!!

rofl, um I don't scrap the cm way... I do own their square punch but that's about it. as my non coloured tag says, I'm a "dark side scrapper". I toss anything onto a page, bottle caps, sandpaper, eyelets, paint chips, drywall tape, washers, keys, you name it, and I've probably got one on a page somewhere. :) maggie

heather! Why did I look at your basic grey layouts! UGH! Now I want those big letters! I looked at them yesterday but didn't buy them...I bought that same paper! LOL! Love the idea of cutting the circles on the paper....

As for my style i like anything. I have a ton of CM tools. I really like their tools. I tried their books and they made me crazy. I am not a super lumpy scrapper but like to branch out and will try different things if they make sense to me to use, like eyelets, brads, ribbon even washers. DOnt' understand the bottle cap phase LOL! But I am sure if I hang with Maggie it will rub off on me! :teeth: Thanks to her I have a great ribbon collection!

To some my style may be considered cm style ( in part because of the clean simple lines ), but I do use a lot of other products in my cm albums. I love their products though so I have learned over time ways to mix it up a bit.

I'm definitely not a CM style scrapper. I find their pages rather plain - I like the wallpaper, fun fur, eyelets, etc! :teeth: I do have some of their tools & an album. I didn't understand that the pages weren't true 12x12 (at least when I bought them) so they don't work with the wallpaper. :( I'd already built a number of pages before I tried putting them in - not knowing the order I wanted them in the book. I really like the quality of the albums, but won't be using them for most of my scrapping.

DDIL has been strictly a CM scrapper & thinks I'm crazy! She's picked up on Nicurns tag & calls me a "dark side scrapper" too. :rotfl: She just doesn't get the eyelets, brads, ribbon, feathers....well, you name it! ;) However, she really cranks out her pages!

I had signed her up for the Ride Swap trying to convert her. ;) She dragged her feet about starting & told me that I'd end up with her swap stuff. Part way through life got in the way & I ended up finishing her stuff. When it got here, we were looking at DD's stuff (she was in the same swap as DDIL) & she saw the other bag & said "So this is all my stuff? I can't wait!" Here I was looking forward to getting all of those goodies! :rotfl: I may yet convert her...there's hope!

Cyndi, haven't looked at your lay outs in awhile...so had to check! Anyway how sturdy is your target cubes stacked that high? I have two and have them side by side but would love to put them on top of each other. Does it feel sturdy...remember I have 2 small kids and one big dog and a rather clumsly scrapper!

I don't. I just do whatever comes to mind! lol I do own some templates and a pen from creative memories, but never use them. I've found that their stuff just doesn't interest me

Hey Sondra,
I actually have even more stuff on it now then the picture shows. Its in a corner where little fingers can't get to it ( of course its been a long time since I had little fingers to think about :teeth: ). But I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. Marc just connected them all ( at least I think he did ), so they are not just sitting on top of each other. I will check when I get back from church and email you.

I kind of mix it up - I used to be a CMC back oh 5 or so years ago. Took a new position at work that required spontaneous overtime so I felt it wasn't fair to my customers to have the possibility of having to cancel a class on short notice.

I have always made little cutsie things to go on my pages and used cookie cutters to make my own diecuts even when CM didn't have them - and now they have mostly phased them out again.

I am just now getting into the eyelets and shallow 3d embellishments. I don't want things to lumpy bumpy but I don't mind a little height on my layouts. I like their books for 12x12 but I also like the top loading 8x8 albums - like the ones from SandyLion.

I don't have anything posted on 3peas yet. I will have to do that some time.

I started with CM and quickly added "stuff". Love their albums, punches, but I think there is too much out there for me to be strictly any one company, lol!

Yes and no. I do CM style in that it is clean and fairly simple.

I like more than on picture on a page and I use CM products. However I do use eyelets and brads. Sometimes I do borders, sometimes I don't.

I think really the only thing non CM that I use are eyelets and brads. And I have an eyelet organizer from CTMH.

I am a CM consultant so of course I will use the items to support myself and my habit.
I do love the paper, I love the albums, not to big on stickers, and I do have the punches.

I do use my sizzlit fonts for titles and such too.

I don't know what style I would call myself. I love CM albums, tools and tape runner. But I use a lot of other things in my albums too. I love to wallpaper and use different types of embellishments. I don't use really bulky things, but I am not truly flat either.

I am definitely not a CM Scrapper...I only own the CM corner rounder and square punch. I am a very simple scrapper! :) I do love embellishments and try to use some on each page!! :)

i don't do cm style, but i have some of their products as well. i have the corner rounder, circle and square punches, and that is about it...

my lo's are pretty simple...though i love, love, love and have tons of embellies, i just can't seem to make them work on a page...

here are my lo's

i am more of a simple scrapbooks kind of girl...

The only CM products I use are the punches. DD and I have about 6 of them. Not fond of the paper and stickers and I don't use their style. I love wallpapering my background and using lots of color.
