My Dad called me yesterday (which he never calls during work hours) and I could hardly understand him, it was like his tongue was too big for his mouth... I kept on trying to get him to say something.

He hung up, I called back. And there was something wrong with him. We tried a few more times, and I asked him where he was.. he said home, which means Texas and I told him I was hanging up and calling for help.

So I called a friend to go get him and take him to hospital. Maybe 2 miles away.

He is diabetic and was going into shock. He is in ICU right now.

I am getting spotty updates, the friend said when he got there, there was a lot of blood from a cut on his head, he had fallen and they did a cat scan, everything was ok.

He is in ICU and no phones. so I have not talked to him. Hopefully today.

Going to look at 2 houses on lunch today! My husband and coworker are coming with. They are

(1) Close to where we live now (less than a mile and we like our location... same distance walk to pub), just remodelled/flipped with a gorgeous kitchen and resurfaced pool and a chain-link fenced yard. Seems like more grass outback than the other but hard tot ell. Outside of the house looks fine and it has a security system already installed.

(2) Farther but not too far... house is smaller but bedrooms are bigger... needs some cosmetic work in kitchen. Pool with a really nice patio and privacy fence. Same price but different town so taxes are $700 less. Sliding glass doors from bedroom and living room onto lanai. Outside of the house is charming and I really like it.


So we'll see how it goes...

They will not give me any information, when the friend took him into the hospital, they only listed my Step_mom as family, so I can't get any info until she gets there, she was in AR with her kids.

Thanks, yes I set up a Speed dial on his phone, with my picture, so all he had to do was touch my face and it would call me...

No I have not, not until I know what is going on, my Step Mom arrives today and will call me with information. Right now they would not even let me in.

They gave me a little card with it written on there and said to share it with anyone who should be able to get his info. I didn't ask for it they just did it. I think just that visit

But I did end up getting the second apartment I looked at and it served us well for 5 years (well maybe 4... until we got the dog and they put up gates). I looked at one, blah, looked at our current one, loved it, but knew I should look at more. The 3rd one I was like "NOoooooo" and went back and leased the 2nd one. All in one day - haha!

My friend said househunting is a nightmare but she said finding the right house is the hard part and then the rest is just nerves.

I also hope a recently reno'd house wouldn't have issues with inspections.

It is like 50 years old and the other is around 30 years old...
