Are lines mostly inside or outside?

At DLR the lines for rides are mostly outside. TSMM, for example, is hot and boring. And the part of Splash Mountain that is inside is only cooled by fans and I find it stuffy.

Something I must have heard somewhere gave me the impression that WDW lines are inside. Is this true? Are they air conditioned? I'm planning for our June trip. Are there any particularly hot lines to avoid mid day?

Dumbo was always an issue with this historically at WDW since it had an outdoor line that was often very long (and full of cranky children) -- they definitely addressed that with the new location and setup for the ride.

Anything that gets a sizable line has an indoor queue at WDW.

Most of RRnC is outside, partly shaded.
Voyage of Little Mermaid is kinda both inside and outside.
I don't remember Enchanted Tales line.

I almost forgot the worst: Speedway is outside, not really shaded.

"Almost all"? I certainly wouldn't say that.

Many lines are completely outside but covered, sometimes with ceiling fans to help a little.
Many other lines have an inside component only for the last 5 to 15 minutes of wait time, but anything longer than that requires waiting outside.
A few lines are even outside with little to no shade.

Epcot is by far the best for having inside queue areas. The whole Spaceship Earth queue is outside and can be in the bright sun at certain times of day. Other than that, most rides have either all or the vast majority of the queue inside.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, almost every attraction at Animal Kingdom has a completely outdoor queue area with a covering for shade and a few fans. Dinosaur is really the only attraction which has a long portion of air conditioned queue.

I took my first trip to DLR in 2011 and I noticed that most of the lines were outside in the sun compared to WDW. Unlike the other guests, I wouldn't go so far as to say that all the lines are air conditioned. In the Magic Kingdom, Outside but under cover; IASW, PP, Pooh, BTMRR, Stitch (2 preshow rooms air conditioned), Jungle Cruise, Tomorrowland Speedway, Haunted Mansion (mostly). For most of these think TSMM at DCA. Air Conditioned lines, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's Philharmagic. Outside in Sun Enchanted Tales in Belle, Carousel of Progress, extended queue for splash mountain.

At EPCOT Spaceship earth is outside in the sun Everything else is Air Conditioned. DHS ToT is partly under roof partly under trees for shade, RnR is under Canopy for shade. Toystory, Star Tours,Great Movie Ride are Air Conditioned.

Animal Kingdom are all outside under shade except preshow area of it's tough to be a bug I think.

It wont be bad for the OP. Humidity should only be near 97% in June. Doesn't hit 99% until August.

I kind of disagree about Small World, Stitch, and Carousel of Progress (although I can see why you're characterizing them that way). Small World usually has a short line that doesn't queue past the entrance, and the inside queue is quite lengthy. I don't think we've ever waited outside for it. Stitch is usually pretty short too except at very busy times. Carousel of Progress, although technically an outside queue, is walk on 99% of the time, so you're not waiting longer than it takes to cycle the ride around. I don't think any of these lines compare to the outside lines at Disneyland.

Also, the Speedway is not really under cover. Doesn't it just have those umbrellas? That's definitely the worst line in Magic Kingdom.

I would avoid Test Track in the middle of the day, especially mid-morning (because the sun shines directly on you in the area between the building and the structure that they built outside to shield the sun). Most of that line winds around outside, since they had to take a portion of the queue away to accommodate the new aspects of the ride. I almost passed out in that line in June (but that was probably more of a low blood sugar issue, though...but it was still really hot)

We have been twice during August. The first time was spur of the moment, we were in Florida for another reason. I was so worried we were going to fry. Surprisingly we were fine. Was it hot? Yes. Are all of the lines a/c? No. But enough are that you are not totally stroking out if you plan properly. You don't want to be standing in a non-a/c line at 2:00.

Oh, ok good! I'm used to dry heat here. Every once in a while it might get a tad bit humid and everyone remarks how humid it is and how odd. I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be so bad in Florida if we were able to from ride to ride with air conditioning.

Thanks, trying to think what order to do rides in first thing in the morning and what to have FP+ for. It is easier to figure out when I know how hot a line will be.
