I saw in another thread that the king rooms are extra in the value and moderates. Is that correct? I have requested a king and was told it was not guaranteed but nothing was mentioned about extra cost.

Thanks,

We are going to Pop in feb. and since its DH and I only we asked for a king bed since we only used on bed on our trip last year to ASM. Its a request and they cant gaurantee it but there was no extra cost.

Heck we even used our CAA/AAA discount too!

We just happened to receive a king room at Pop on our Dec. trip (70s section). When we went in Mar. I requested a king room and the request was granted (50s section). It was not an additional charge either time. There is an extra charge for rooms in the prefered section however regardless of 2 doubles or a king. I think for Pop it is the 60s section that is prefered. I can't speak for other values.

As the others have said, no extra charge. We requested one for our honeymoon last week and received it, but no extra charge. This was at POP in the 80s, not the 60s. 60s is the only place that would cost more. The only other additional charge I can think of would be for a microfridge...

King bed rooms are a catagory that you can pay for, and therefore guarentee at the moderate resorts. They are not a catagory at the value resorts, simply a request
