Are husbands allowed in baby care centers?

I was wondering if my husband can come in with me to the baby care centers? I know there will most likely be other nursing Mommies. Is it sectioned off so you can't see other people nursing? I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable by bringing my husband in with me but it is nice to have his company while the baby eats.

A dad came in with his baby to the BC center in MK when I was there last week ... so I don't think it's a problem.

My husband has always gone in. I don't remember about separate nursing areas, but there were separate rooms for changing, playing, etc. so there should be no problem.

Thanks! I didn't want to make any other Mommies uncomfortable if they're nursing. I figure my husband would like to take the break with us too.

Yep, dh's are allowed. The nursing areas are all either behind closed doors or at least a curtain.

The nursing area at the MK BCC is a group area and is clearly labeled "For Nursing mothers ONLY".

Yes, husbands are allowed into the baby care center. The only thing not allowed in most of them are strollers. I think only the one at AK allows strollers. I was permitted to bring mine into MGM's, but there really wasn't enough room. My dh and ds(10) usually sit there watching a movie and wait for me to finish nursing. If it's too full of people, they'll just wait outside.

As the others have said, yes you're DH can go in with you. There is a special quite place for nursing mothers that is clearly labeled. Otherwise there are usually places for diaper changing, feeding (Kitchen type area) and a play/movie room.

I can't see why you couldn't feed in the outer more public area if you were comfortable with that - dads are definitely welcome there. There are sofas and a tv.
There is a very private feeding room, but I don't think you are obliged to go in there (since you could feed anywhere if you chose too anyway)

As a former nursing mom its more likely that the dads would be uncomfortable most nursing moms could care less. :)

At AK and MGM the nursing rooms are for 1 mom/baby at a time so your husband could go into the nursing rooms with you there if he wants to. The AK ones also have changing tables in them and are pretty spacious-MGM it's just a rocking chair behind a curtain, but my husband still fit in ther with me. He just came in to drop off the diaper bag and said it was too crowded and left, but that was just because he felt weird being back there-not sure why since it was just his wife and daughter in the room, but he's weird like that.

But there is a general room for Dad's to sit and wait, watch tv, recharge the video camera battery or watch little ones color. We only stopped here to recharge the battery while DS did some coloring. A really nice place and good idea!
