I will be staying at Comfort Inn LBV in August and was wondering how far the grocery stores are from the hotel. I know there is a store really close, but that one is pretty expensive, right? Is it a Publix that is a little further - how much further and is it in walking distance? If not, how much would it be to taxi it? I am not renting a car for my trip, and will be dependent on public transportation (wanted to save some money).
Anyways, if anyone knows, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Jo

both the nearby Publix are much to far to walk - I am not sure about the Winnie Dixie

however the Goodings is your closest store and yes it is more expensive - but there is a sidewalk to it and you won't get lost and it is much cheaper than Disney prices.

Actually, I've seen several items that are priced cheaper on Disney property than in Goodings. But yes, unfortunately this overpriced store is the closest and only one you could really walk to with any amount of safety or efficiency. If you are a really good walker you could walk to the new Publix behind Premium Outlets, but that would be quite a hike. There is no provision for foot traffic for most of the distance, either, so the walk would be pretty trecherous traffic wise.
