We are staying at the po/fq in Aug/Sept. I remember when we stayed at the vistana last year they were renting those big floats(whales, dragons, etc) for about $20 an hour. I think this is a little high considering I have seen them in the stores for much less. My questions are :
Do they allow this type of big floats in the pool?
Do you think they will blow them up for you?(providing they have there own rentals, so they can fill them up)
Thanks

Last year when we stayed at the asmo we were told not to use them in the main pool. I think we were using a inflatable ring that goes around a childs waist at the time. Hope this helps.

We just got back from WL/AKL and while we were there, we did not see any big floats, but we did see a few little kids with the ring floats...the ones that go around you...that is it though! :)

When we were at BWV in March we brought a cheapy, inflatable innertube and used it in the pool with no problems. There was also an oversized beach ball that others were playing volleyball with.

We've used floats, although not big ones, and have never been bothered.

I have been to most of the Diseny resorts and have never been able to use a large float in the pool. They were renting noodles at the BC 2 years ago and I think they let you have them at the poly last year but that is the only type of floating device other than the life vest they let you use. I hae recently seen some small children with the floaty arm bands and the egg shaped thing for the back in the pools but the parent must be very close by the child. The pools are so crowded I would think large flotation devices a hazard.

I've seen the younger children with ring sized floats or toss toys, but no large adult sized floatation devices in disney-owned pools. I think it would depend on how crowded it is, and what time of day, the life guards are on, probably will be told no, but after hours there is no one to tell you anything. Personally I prefer that they only allow the children, it leaves it more open so everyone can enjoy the pool's.

I'm sure there are rules in general for the pools, and specific rules for each pool also.

At Stormalong Bay at the YC/BC, they rent 2 sizes of tubes, and noodles, either by the day ($10) or by the hour ($3). I have also seen children with swimmies and the small bullets on their backs, but no larger flotation devices. The nature of the pool I guess won't allow it. :):D:)

Not sure where you're staying, but at CBR, they allow floats only in the "quiet pools" and not in the main pool. They sell fun noodles at the gift shop for $4.
