I can not find any information on attachable handcycles for wheelchairs. It baisclly turns a manual wheel chair into a scooter. We have an electirc one and would love to use it at Animal Kingdom (a tough park to be in a manual). Has anyone used it before? Are they allowed? See picture below.454586

I would guess yes. But probably not on the bus from the resort. Also from what I've heard maybe not in the line for FOP. Probably not on the Safari. I've seen these online but never seen one in the parks so I can't really say for sure. The big issue is the extra length it adds to your chair.

I have a Smartdrive that fits under my chair and provides a power assist when needed. I haven't taken it to WDW yet but I've seen a few people in the parks with them. But I can see how the Firefly is nice with the larger wheel in front to make bumps easier on you.

I don’t think this chair would fit through the queue areas (the turns)
If the person using it won’t need it while waiting it line it may work.
You may want to contact the Disabilities Services and get approval in writing. The chair is unusual and you may have a problem the day you arrive

Considering that power assist attachments have been problematic in lines, I’m guessing you wouldn’t have a problem bringing one of these into the parks but you’ll probably run into issues. I expect the size on transportation and the fact that it is powered in some lines at least are going give you problems.

I can’t find it now, but there was a thread fairly recently asking about this device or one very similar to it.
The consensus was that it looked like it would be longer than the 52 inch allowed length for mobility devices by quite a bit. It might be able to be used in open areas, but probably would not fit in lines or attractions because of length and turning ability.

if you brought it, you would need a vehicle to transport it with since it looks too long and doesn’t seem to have spots to secure it on the buses.

Whelp, its loner than 52 inches when attached! So that is a no go. It just nearly makes it at 54 inches. Disney says nope, and it won't fit in most lines. So we will not use it because we do not want to be a bother in line (and disney said no) Thank you for the resources and contact info!

I haven't seen that one, but there are much smaller ones that I have seen in use at Disneyland and in fact the chairs were allowed where ECVs weren't. Sorry, I don't know the brand, but it actually attached to the back of the chair and you out a joystick on the arm rest, so it turned a manual chair into a power chair rather than a scooter
