Are drivers licenses acceptable forms of IDs?

Hi,

And a citizenship card (for our ds), this would save us taking passports about for ID, for DC & the parks.

Can't help you with citizenship card, but the photocard part of the driving license is fine to use as ID, I used it many times last year. Also a lot of places now ask for ID when you pay with your credit card now too. No need to carry the paper bit of the license, just the photocard.

PS we go this weekend too so see you over there!!!

Thanks TCM,

Apparently the citizenship card is ok to use, our ds is 12 and I didn't want to have to carry his passport about. This is what he uses to travel mainland u.k. on easyjet. We can't wait, going down stop in the Gatwick Hilton on Friday before flying with Virgin on the Saturday! where are you flying from?

we are staying at the hilton in nov. are u using twilight check-in?? let us know how u get on with it pleae

have a fantastic trip

We sure are, there is also an on-line facility where you can check in electronically 24 hours in advance, I'll be trying that out on Friday, I don't have the link on this PC, however I do have it at home and can post it later.

Hi Themurrayfamily- we go on Sunday flying Virgin from Manchester- premium economy!!:bounce: :bounce: 2 weeks BCV

The link for the Virgin online check in is here We'll be trying this out exactly 24 hrs before we fly (sad muppets that we are!!)

The last 2 weeks of August are a great time to go, the parks are relatively quiet as the American schools are all back. The only downside is the heat and that's the only thing I don't look forward to!!

:( :(

Have a great time.

Thanks for the link TCM, I hope you all have a great time! I'll be using the on-line check in 24 hours before to :D before we leave for Gatwick. I was a bit unsure about the heat, plenty of fluids and breaks should do the trick :teeth:

Have you used the downtown Disney check in with Virgin, is it easy to find?

Regards

william

Hi William- no we haven't used the Downtown Disney check in yet as it was suspended after 9/11 and only reopened at the end of last year. We have walked past it though- it is right next to the massive Cirque du Soleil tent at the far end of Downtown Disney, you really cannot miss it, the opening times are on the vouchers you should have received with your tickets. Hope this helps. Now back to the packing.... :D :D

Have just returned from hols and used the Downtown Disney check-in. It was easy to find and it only took about 20 minutes to check-in. If you have booked through Virgin it is free, but if you have booked through someone else (we had used Funways), it costs $5 per person. Still worth it though to get rid of those cases!

They do not have a weigh machine at the check-in, so you don't have to worry about how heavy that case is with all those things you buy!

Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did!

Cliff

Driving licences are fine.

We checked in at Downtown disney too - and how glad we were - no cases to carry from the hire car to the check-in desk, and the queue at the airport was massive with no queue at downtown disney. Well worth it!!

Although we booked with Virgin, we didn't get a voucher, but they let us check in anyway!
