Are Disney Dollars still sold at Disney Stores? Is there an expiration on them? Can they be exchanged for cash at Disney World?
. Sheesh, for a 4 year old he is really making out on his first trip (he's going with almost $200)!. Grandma and Pop-Pop, his uncle (my DB) and his great aunt and uncle have all contributed to his "funds". Our son even has cashed in all 4 of his piggy banks
Course, he doesn't know he's going to Dis next week

Now only if I could get my DS4 to do that. He's the "hook, line and sinker" type (takes after DH lol) Every toy he sees on t.v., he tells me, "oohh, I wanna get that!"
All the time, I'm telling he can't always get what he sees (some of those toys are for older kids).cybrkitn said:Now only if I could get my DS4 to do that. He's the "hook, line and sinker" type (takes after DH lol) Every toy he sees on t.v., he tells me, "oohh, I wanna get that!"

When it's his money it's a little different though.WillCAD said:I think the new gift cards are a little better for kids.
Disney Dollars let you see how much money you have left better than the gift cards, but if they are lost, they cannot be replaced.
The new Disney gift cards can be replaced if lost, as long as you have the original purchase reciept (not a reload reciept).
But I still save for my trips by buying Disney Dollars at my local Disney Store. The only drawback to saving with Disney Dollars is that they don't earn interest when sitting in my lock box, but they also can't be spent except on my vacation, they never expire, and they provide me with a concrete goal every payday that relates directly to my vacation.

Do you have that be their only spending money, or is it just for fun? If it is for their spending money, does it only include souvenirs, but also snacks and anything they want in the parks and resorts except meals?
TIA

DS4 hasn't learned that much about money yet. He knows the names of some of them. But the cutest is that he calls dimes "diamonds". Can't get him to drop the "ond" part
Gotta love them at this age!
