Are discounted tickets purchased by AP holders still available?

My AP is expired and I am not renewing it at this time. My daughter's is still active and we are going to Disneyland for a day in a couple weeks. I remember reading something about AP holders being able to buy discounted one day tickets. Is that still available? If so, would she need to buy it online ahead of time or could we buy it when we get there?

You can't buy them online, actually. You need to get them there at the park (or good neighbor hotels).

As PP you have to buy them at the park and the AP holder has to accompany you to enter the park.
