Are dining rooms cold?

I am packing for our trip on the Wonder next week. I plan to pack lightweight, sleeveless dresses for the dinners and I'm wondering if the dining rooms are usually cold. Also, would a knee-length black cocktail dress with light and subdued black beadings be too dressy for Triton? I want to pack as little as possible so I plan to wear the same dress to Palo too.

For daytime, do most people wear tennis shoes or comfortable sandals with shorts and t-shirts around the ship? Should I pack something dressier like sandals with heels, capris, knit tops, etc?

Thanks!

The dinning rooms and theaters were alittle cool to me. Your dress sounds perfect. I prefer to dress every night for dinner, not every night like the formal nights but something alittle better than day wear. For the formal dinning room I always dress like you are. Shorts and sneaks or sandals is what most people wear during the day.

I was never cold anywhere in the ship...everything was comfortable or warmish. I had brought along a light sweater but never had to wear it.

How about the Oceaneers? Will my girls be cool in sleeveless sundresses? I hate to make them wear a sweater all the time. I'd probably avoid packing sleeveless (although so much of what they have is sleeveless) instead.

It's been a couple of years since we were on the Magic, but I seem to recall the theaters were a bit on the chilly side because one just sitting there idle for a long time. All other places were fine.

I wore a sleeveless tropical dress when we were at Parrot Cay and I did wear a sweater with it, as I thought the dining room was a bit chilly. I am usually a "warm blooded" person so was surprised I needed the sweater. You might want to pack one, "just in case." The theater was chilly too.

YES!!!

I was very chilly in the dining rooms and theatre! I brought a sweater with me or a wrap.

I guess it must depend on the person and how many kids you are trying to get ready and chasing after. I was never cold. I wore long sleeve, which were sheer, on formal night and was pretty warm. I didn't find anywhere on the ship to be cold. I was shocked at how warm everywhere was. On other cruises we took, with no kids, it was always cold when you came in from outdoors.

We were on the Magic Feb 22 - Mar 1 and found the dining rooms and theater extremely warm. The gals carried light weight sweaters with them, never had to use them. The guys even took off their jackets on the formal nights because it was so stuffy in the dining room.

If you are over 50 like me, they are just fine.;)
Under 50, you will think they are cool.;)

Plutojudy, ROFL!

I was cold in WD Theatre and Dining Rooms as well. I would suggest carrying a light sweater/jacket.

Our kids were cold in the dining rooms and the theatres. I would have them wear a sweater (or sweatshirt for the movies) on top of their dresses or shirts. They never complained about being cold in the kids clubs. I had them were mostly short-sleeved shirts during the days on the boat. They needed sleeveless shirts on days we got off the boat- the ports were hot!

My husband was never cold, and it was not bad for me, either. We kept warm chasing the kids, I guess.

Good luck packing and have a great trip!!
