Are Deck 5 verandas smaller than others?

I was just looking over the ships map and noticed that based on the drawings, the verandas on deck 5 are not as big as decks 6 and 7. I then noticed a picture of the ship where you can see that deck 6 seems to overhang deck 5. (If you want to know what I'm talking about, look at the images on "another site" that shows which Cat 5/6 cabins go for a Cat 7 price).

Anyone with experience with verandas on both deck 5 and deck 6/7 have any input?

I just took a quick look at the deck plans and I agree that the verandahs on Deck 6 look to be slightly wider than on decks 5 and 7. I did read in the Passporter that the verandahs on deck 6 were slightly larger than the verandahs on deck 5. It's been discussed here on the boards a couple of times, but no one has ever been able to say for sure; in other words, no one has ever taken a tape measure and measured them. At least, not that I'm aware of!

During the May Repo, I followed up on this question myself.

I had a verandah on Deck 5 and a relative travelling with us had a verandah on Deck 6. We didn't break out a tape measure, but we estimated that the verandah on Deck 6 was about one foot deeper than the verandah on Deck 5 based on counting the lines in the floor pattern on the verandah.

However, having experienced both, I wouldn't allow the difference in size affect my choise of Decks. My personal opinion in that Deck 5 aft is a great place. Not much hallway traffic, very close to the nursary (we were travelling with a 2yo) and very close to most the resturants (great when you realized you left something in your room before dinner, such a sippy cup, extra battries for the camera, etc).
