Are Crocs good shoes for walking?

:thumbsup2 I love my crocs! I wear them on the eliptical and to walk outside and I think they're great! I bought them for our trip(Beach crocs) I ended up wearing them all summer and definately for our whole trip! while my dh was complianing about his feet hurting I was saying " lets go go go!" I loved them so much that when I got home I bought 2prs of the closed up in front ones. I wear them with sweatpants or jeans and they just look like regular clogs. I HAD to get 2prs. for 24$ each how could I say "no"?(the lady was closing her store for the winter)

I have two pairs of beach crocs and a pair of athens slides. I wore them for a week at WDW and didn't have sore feet at all! I've turned my entire family into crocs lovers, but beware... You won't want to put anything else on your feet!

I won't wear anything BUT crocs to Disney! The pic below was taken at Typhoon Lagoon. :thumbsup2

We have been to WDW a few times and the easiest time for my feet was the last trip in February of 2006. My crocs saved my feet. I have several pair of crocs and when I wear my crocs I wear the same color sock if it is chilly outside. You will see them all over the parks. Enjoy!

Crocs Scutes are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn to the parks. They're a slide and I wore them everyday on my August trip. I didn't have any blisters or any hot spots. They were great. I don't know about the regular Crocs, like the Beach, because they don't fit my feet right. They are silly looking, but you get past that because they're so comfy. I have a trip in December and don't know if it will be hot enough to wear them. I have to decide what else I can wear with socks if it's kind of cold.

I wore Nike ACG sandals in the parks this May. I had read all about Crocs and didn't think that I could ever wear them (ugliness factor). The Nike sandals were great, I had no problems but I have since bought the Crocs Scutes. These are truly the most comfortable shoes I own, I wear them all the time - for long walks with the dog, to the Browns games (super long walks from where we bargain park - even longer walks after the games this season if you know what I mean :sad2: ), EVERYWHERE. I am now wearing them with socks as it is getting colder. BTW, I haven't put on the Nike sandals since I got my SCUTES!

I don't have any experience with Crocs because I kind of think they're ugly  but the Disney ones have reeled me in. If they're still around next year I'll probably buy a pair for DD. However, everybody knows you do a lot of walking in the parks. Are Crocs comfortable for walking a lot?

I've become a very proud shoe snob ,after having 2 foot surgeries one year apart, with a 2 month recovery time per surgery ! There's no way in Hades a shoe that's made of man made materials , are too wide ,not available in half sizes ,with no support, is ever going top touch my little piggies! The only way I'd wear Crocs if they were made of leather, came in half sizes ,came in a med width with tons of support. I'd buy them in a heart beat, but I guess they wouldn't really be Crocs, would they ? :)

I fractured my toe 20 years ago and it never healed properly and Crocs are the only thing that does not make my toe hurt. What are the best kinds of socks to wear with Crocs at the Disney Parks?

No they are not comfortable my kids and wife wore theirs around for 3 hours walking in the park and they all got terrible blisters and thought they were uncomfortable I was never so happy as the day they tossed them in the trash and said good riddance.

Wow I wear mine all day. I have a pair for the house and outside. I do not like the scutes as I find the tops of them rub. The only time I ever got blisters was when I wore a pair of knockoffs for gardening.

my husband & I each bought a pair of the hideous crocs for a 10 day trip last month. he always wore socks, & i always carried socks & wore them occasionally. we each wore our running shoes for a few hrs 1 day, & went right back to the ugly crocs. we did both flip the strap for comfort now & again. i would have never beleived the hype if i hadn't tried them for myself. I did have to stretch the strap a bit when i bought them. :cloud9:

Yep they all got blisters and none of them in teh same place my oldest DD got them under her toes my youngest DD got them on the tops of her toes and my son got them by his ankles and my wife had them at the top of her foot where the opening of the shoe sits.

Hi
My scutes also rubbed at the top of my left foot when I first got them. I just put them in the dryer for about a minute and pulled up on the top of the shoe to loosen it. That's all it needed. Then the left shoe fit great. I can't wear any of the other Crocs, since they're either tool small and my toes touch the end of the shoe or they're so big, that they look ridiculous and don't feel comfortable. Also, with the scutes, your toes should not touch the edge of the shoe. There's like a rim there. You would need the next size. Good luck!!
