Are concierge usually full?

I know one of you gurus has the actual info, but are all these concierge rooms staying full most cruises, to include all the additional ones that seem to get repurposed every dry dock? I know DCL is about money, but for us little people they seem to keep taking more and more away to give to the high rollers. With the Dream, it looks like they took half an adult area, half a teen area and a number of usually pretty sought after staterooms and now charge an extra $500 a person to use them. (made up number, but you get the point) My question is, are they being used, or is it just with the reality of concierge getting more space, that it feels more justified to the ones that can afford it? Again, I get it from a business standpoint, but more curious than anything.

I'm not sure if it's any different on other lines, I just sailed the NCL Joy in a room not in the Haven that had access to the Haven and all the Haven perks (dramatic downside, it was under the pool and their deck parties ARE LOUD LOUD LOUD). But after doing that, I'm not sure I'd want the equivalent not right there next to the lounge on DCL, especially since DCL Concierge is oodles more expensive.

I have not cruised on the Wish, but on my last 3 cruises on the Dream and Fantasy, the Family Concierge staterooms were sold out before sailing and 1-bedroom Concierge staterooms were available at port only at an exorbitant price.

I have cruised concierge five times, I only saw rooms still available at Port at the end of covid. Whether they sell out the additional cabins they are adding at dry dock remains to be seen, I haven't done the research.

On our most recent sailings (3 post Covid on Wish or Dream), they were full on both ships. That said, all of those cruises were also booked full.

In 2017 and 2019 we sailed on the Fantasy, also booked full on both of those. Prior to that I can't remember and it would be stale data anyway.

In short, yes, typically always booked full.

So I can't resist, but the only guarantee in life is we all age (the alternative is worse). And often as we do, our status in life can improve. A lot of people comment on taking away from the little people, but perhaps, one day your perspective will shift as you become one of those that worked hard (got lucky?) to afford some luxury in their life, even as perhaps their ability to run around declines. You might be happy Concierge exists then. My guess many of them would trade concierge to have your youthful vigor :)

Fair, but we are currently in the take a paycut and help society, and better the planet, teaching kids how to function in the world, or some mumbo jumbo crap :)

But you may be right, just seems that some very visible things are now going away and converting to get more out of the pockets. If they are selling as well as it appears, they are going to stop any time soon.

LOL yep or some mumbo jump crap, but hey, one CAN try to improve the planet AND enjoy it at the same time.... annnnddddd.... we cruisers often get criticized already for our save the planet via luxury emissions stance... soooooo... not sure how much that argument works here :)

But can't it be both? Meaning Disney IS a business after all, we want them to be healthy and keep on growing (am I the only one that wonders how the heck they are going from a handful of ships to 12), so can we really begrudge them from maximizing profits. And I know it's unpopular to say so, as in a minority opinion, but I always found it a tad annoying to be on the outside concierge deck and NOT have an ocean view. anyway, thanks for the discussion!

I think they're usually full. Maybe not always on the 'bread and butter' 3/4 night sailings since those are so frequent. But on the longer and rarer itineraries? Definitely. Can't really speak to the Dream with the added concierge rooms as that's pretty new, so we'll see that pattern soon.
