Are Codes Offered During Peak Seasons?

Hello - I'm not exactly new to Disney vacation planning, but I have never rec'd or used a code before (I am registered on the Disney website thou). I usually use AAA for discounts for DW travel.

Are codes generally released that are available for use during peak seasons? We're traveling to the world again 2/19-2/28/09 - which is during peak time.

disney only offers discounts when it has to.

We used a general public room-only code back in peak season -- very peak, it was Easter week and also Spring Break time (late March). The parks were packed and the MK stayed open almost 24/7. But that was back in 2005 when tourism was finally starting to bounce back from September 11th.

Believe historic discount rates are available on either mousesavers or allears to give you some background, but am sure later posters will know. Good luck, peak season is fun, but now we like to go in May.

We're stuck going during peak times due to child in school .
But the crowds were not too bad last February during the last week into March 1st and 2nd.The President's vacation week crowds died out by the Saturday we started our vacation, and the lines for the attractions were not too bad.

Last year, I got an Annual Passholder's room only discount during peak season. We went during spring break, the the discount came out to $131 off of deluxe resorts. It knocked my Poly rate from $449 down to $318/night. I only purchased the AP to take advantage of this rate. Even though it cost more than my 7 day hopper would have, I still saved $900 on my resort, so it was well worth the cost.

Also, this year there was an AP discount for rooms only. We didn't travel, so I'm not sure what the discount came out to be.
