Are Character Meals a must for your trip?

I have young girls and they absolutely loved Ariels. I have heard about the service not being so great lately -- but when we were there my girls had a blast and absolutely love their pictures and autographs. We will probably do a character meal every time we visit DL. For me it's not about the food -- it's about how excited my girls get to see the characters. Some have mentioned not so great interaction -- If you ever feel like your table isn't getting enough character interaction, etc -- be sure to talk to a manager. For the most part, I think they are very quick to make things right (we are paying an arm and a leg for those character meals!!).
I think it all depends on the ages of kids or if your family is really into the characters. Have fun!! :wizard:

We did two character meals on our first trip to DL last fall, and both boys (DS6 and DS2) loved meeting the characters! From the two meals we met (and got photos and autographs) for I think 11 characters. There is no way we could have met so many characters in so short a time in the parks, and it all happened while we ate a meal anyway, so we figured it was time and money well spent. :thumbsup2

I suppose we might feel differently if the day comes when the boys no longer are interested in photos or autographs with the characters. But I did notice older kids having a blast, and adults-only couples as well. I'm just going to enjoy it as long as possible. :goodvibes
