Are casual shorts okay?

This is my first trip to Disney, we're going in September. I had a question about the restaurants in the parks. We have the dining plan so we're eating at a few restaurants like Le Cellier, Les Chefs, and Alfredo's. I know there's no dress code for those restaurants, but if I show up in a T-shirt and cloth type shorts will I look like a fool? Nothing ripped or torn or in poor condition, just more like sports shorts, like Adidas or something like that and a regular t-shirt. I don't have any khaki shorts and jean shorts just aren't that comfortable to wear all day. I thought I'd check with the experts before I start packing just to make sure!! Thanks for any help you can provide!!

only if everyone esle looks like fools too! usually i wear capris but husband always wears either jean shorts( nice no holes) or twill or cotton shorts.you'll look just like everyone esle

If you're going to a restaurant that's located in a park, then park attire is acceptable. That includes casual shorts and tank tops (although I wouldn't recommend tank tops, the restaurants tend to be on the chilly side since they crank the AC quite a bit)

If it's a restaurant in a resort, business casual shorts I think would look nicer, but they're not going to turn you away just because you show up in t-shirts and shorts, except at V&A that has a strict dress code, and some of the other restaurants that say business casual dress code. I don't think they'll turn you away at Cali Grill, but I'd personally feel uncomfortable (I'd feel too underdressed).
