Are cars still being held back?

We are staying off property tonight and beginning our stay at YC tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to Animal Kingdom bright and early to be as close to the front as possible. Our plan was to drive over and get to the parking lot by 6:20am for the 8am official opening. However, I got worried that the cars might be held back still and not let in until like 7:30am. If that’s the case, we would drive over and arrive at YC at 6:20am and get in the bus line. Which should I do and does my timeline look right for being in the front group?

For what it’s worth we walked to DHS 2 days ago. A Disney security car ushered the first cars into the lot as we were scanning into the park about 55 minutes prior to official park opening. Ride shares arrived at the same time.

Parking lots open about an hour before the park does.

I’m not sure how early they will let you start lining up vehicles at the parking lot entrance.

In Dec, they were pretty strict with the parking lot opening an hr early. We walked to HS from BCV and in line 7:45. Cars weren’t coming in until after 8 and we were already through the tapstiles 8:15.

Yeah it was at the one hour mark that that let you line up and then at 45 minutes they started pushing cars through. We got to MK too early and they made you loop around which was a pain in the butt. It doesn't pay to get there earlier than one hour before.
