Are buffets still self serve?

As a Healthcare professional with some background in infection control, I'm wondering if Disney has modified the buffets on property to remove the self serve aspect. With appropriate staffing, all those contaminated serving utensils could be mitigated by just having a trained person serving food in a sanitary manner.

Anyone been on property at the buffets in the past few days? What have you noticed?

Had dinner at Biergarten last night and nothing was different (not even a hand sanitizer located near the buffet or anything).

This question is almost irrelevant now, but until the resorts and restaurants on property close, I hope Disney is increasing sanitation at eating locations!

Interesting question! Cape May, for example is a buffet, and I THINK it will still be open during the park shutdown, since hotels are open. I know that on Princess cruises, when norovirus was at an increased level. they used to regularly go to having staff serve at buffets, and wearing gloves there!

Goodness no.
Part of why they are closing is so they dont have to pay extra for CMs to clean more!
