Just my Mum & she is recovering from a heart attack. My Dad passed away back in '89.

Yes -- I just finished moving them out of their home of 56 years (well my Mom's home anyway). They are moving into a condo. What a mess! I have their stuff all over my house, I'll be unpacking all summer. I'm glad they are doing it now, getting rid of all their stuff and simplifying. Yesterday my Dad said he trimmed and mowed for the LAST time. They are really happy about it.

My dad is alive but my mother passed away 2.5 years ago.

Both are still alive. I don't know what I'd do without them. I'm still Daddy's Little Girl.

Both of my parents have passed, My mother died right after the birth of my second child in 1982. Dad died about 10 years later after many years in a nursing home. Died March 10 and buried on March 12, my birthday.

Thankfully, my dad is still with me. We lost mom just this past Jan 22 to colon cancer after a 3 1/2 year battle. I was dealing with it surprisingly well for quite some time, but the last month or two have been more difficult. It's just really starting to hit me. It's been five months and we haven't even approached the idea of going through her things. I cry most every night... I just wish she hadn't left... I didn't want her to go. :sad1:

Both alive and desperately waiting to become grandparents :p

I have told them time and time again....Patience is a Virtue.

My Mom recently turned 82, and my Dad, 76. An age difference that was rather unusual when they wed, 55 years ago. My Dad has become somewhat difficult to deal with in the last few years, due to multi-infarct dementia. I'm so glad that they're both still in my life, but sometimes that feeling of being on "borrowed time" is very strong, and it scares me, especially where my Mom is concerned. She is the sweetest person I will ever know.

To all of you who have lost a parent, or both parents, a very big.....

Dad died in Feb of 1972 at the age of 54, right before I found out that I was pregnant with his first grandson.
Mom just turned 79 last week.......not bad for someone that was given 6 months to live when she was 36 (Hodgkins Disease, and had a hysterectomy because of cancer at 37.)-----has been cancer free for many years.....???

My dad, 77, is still with us, my step-mom at 65 is also. My mom, my very best buddy, passed away last Oct. at barely 73. Dh's dad at 73, one day older than my mom, is slowly dying from Alzheimers and an abdominal anyuerism. His mom is still with us also, 73. It's so tough to get old and lose your parents.

No I lost my Mom when she was 56 and my Father when he was 71......it's been 20 years since I lost my Mom and 6 since my Father passed away.:(

My father died suddenly of a heart attack in 1989 at the young age of 43.

I still have my mom, and she is healthy, thank God. And, she gets younger every year, just ask her! ;) She dropped almost ten years this year on her birthday!

My Dad is alive, My Mom died in 95 (Dec 17) at the tender age of 41 (cancer) and DH parents Dad died in 94 (Dec 15) at 50 yrs of age and his Mom passed away in 97 at 49 years of age.

We miss them greatly and even more since we have a child, that missed out on meeting these wonderful people ::yes::

Both are still alive - definitely couldn't even imagine them being gone.
