Are borrowed points being returned?

With March UY, my points need to be returned soon if they are still doing that! Has anyone had their borrowed points returned recently. I freed up some points from our “end of February” trip, I had been on 0 left in 2020, and was so proud of myself.

Just wondering. I am satisfied that we will be doing what I have booked.

Borrowed points, if you cancel an applicable reservation, will be returned to original use year, but it can take a week or so after the cancellation for the return to actually occur and show the change in your DVC account. If nothing happens fairly soon, you should call MS.

if you cancel online, they run a weekly job around Thur, so you should see it move back. if not call or chat and they will get it done for you. if you call to cancel and you have a mix of points, you can request to have them move the borrowed back before your next reservation.

...Since their return of borrowing rule cameout: i sometimes make a dummy booking using exactly all my current points, so therefore I can use borrowed points to hold a reservation(s) that I have less liklihood of keeping but I want to have the dates just in case

No one knows when they will keep this exception in place. So, I would continue to plan that the normal rules will apply because they can end it anytime and don’t need to give much notice that it going back to regular rules.
