Are AP's ever discounted?

We are taking two trips to Disney next year. We have decided an AP is going to be the most cost effective method for us. Are there ever any discounts on AP or ways to get them discounted? Thank you in advance!!!

When renewing them you get a discount. If you're a member of AAA, you may be able to get a discount. Maybe at a Florida branch in Orlando?

Another way to get a discount, is to buy discounted tickets from Undercover Tourist. They are reputable and send real tickets, not vouchers. And shipping is free. The price shown on web site incl tax.

Use them once or twice before taking them to guest relations to upgrade to AP. It's important to use them first, because that will lock in gate price., not the discounted price you paid for them. It's kind of a round about way to get a discount on AP. You will only pay the diff of gate price for your ticket & AP price.

Last week I noticed orbitz had 5 day park hoppers for the price of 3 day park hoppers. If you go through ebates first you will also get money back a few weeks after your trip. I saved around $250 on 5 tickets last April by using this method. You can upgrade the tix to AP's after you use them once. Ebates was also offering extra money back on activities last week.
