Are any of the parks cooler (more windy) or hotter (less shady) than others?

When it's relatively cold out, are there any parks that feel colder than others? Maybe because of wind, wind tunnels, water, less sun, more outside lines?

When it's relatively warm, are there any parks that feel warmer than others? Less wind, less shade?

Hollywood Studios always feels hotter to me though not sure why.

Animal Kingdom has lots of shade, but also often feels more humid.

Epcot/World Showcase is possibly colder when there is wind as there is the lake in the middle making it quite open.

Just my opinon not scientific.

AK always feels hottest to us. Perhaps it's because there are less attractions located in the A/C.

When we were there last month, we noticed that EPCOT has a pretty nice breeze pretty consistently/constantly. Our 2nd day there was our "strolling touring" day and we really enjoyed the breezes (so much so my parents wanted to just sit on a bench all day so I ditched them to do some sight-seeing on my own! :thumbsup2).

I would also agree that AK seems hotter to us. I think because things seem more spread out with less places to go for AC.

I always feel as though Future World in Epcot is the hottest. And I ALWAYS get burned there.

We actually like Animal Kingdom for all the shady spots.

From what I've read - AK is meant to feel like trekking through a jungle - and it does! Hot, hot, hot and just seems like everything is farther to walk to.

Epcot always seems the coolest to me. I think it's all the fountains/mist/water and plenty of open space for breezes to come through.

Agree! AK always feels more hot and humid and I swear if it's going to rain any during one of my trips it's going to be on an AK day.:rotfl: I agree Epcot feels coolest.

We did a backstage AK tour and the CM informed us that AK always will feel hotter because of the way it is constructed. not only vegetation makes it feel more humid, parts of the place are built "in a bowl" that is, you descend into parts of it, and any breezes are far above you. Whatever the case, I always feel hotter there.

We were there the first week of January this year, and were freezing equally enough in all the parks. Trying to watch Illuminations in the frigid darkness though was too much for me.

I like this, this pleases the science half of my brain :-)

We usually go during Sept/Oct so it's still hot out. To me, World Showcase is just hot. There is little shade and lots of walking...ugh. AK has lots of shade but it feels incredibly humid. I've never had a problem in the MK or DHS.

Thanks for your informative replies. During our first trip, the afternoon temperature went from high 80's to 50's and rainy in just a few days. This year I want to be better prepared. I'm getting very impatient for the weather reports. Thanks for your help.

I've heard that in the past. If true, what a stellar idea on Disney's part. Orlando's already like the face of the sun during the summer. Lets see if we can make our guest any more miserable.

yeah, animal kingdom always feels the hottest to me. my trips are normally in september. i think the reason animal kingdom feels hotter is due to less attractions with air conditioning

I always feel more uncomfortable at animal kingdom for some reason. It seems hotter and humid.
