Are any 1TS restaurants dressy?

After reading all the posts about not even having to dress nice in signature restaurants, I have kind of an opposite dilemma.

I would LIKE to dress nice for dinner. We are doing mostly in park 1TS restaurants, with Hoop de Doo and 1900 Park Fare and a few others thrown in.

Can I dress nicer for anything, or will I stand out like a sore thumb? By nice, I just mean slacks, blouse, nice shoes. Or, if it's warm enough, maybe a summery dress and sweater.

We haven't eaten at many of the restaurants, so I just don't have any idea. Thanks everyone!

None of the 1 TS restaurants are considered dressy, and even the 2 TS restaurants allow fairly casual dress.

If you want to dress up a bit, you won't stick out. Unless you were wearing clothing suitable for Victoria and Albert's.

I don't think you will stick out but most other people will not be dressed up. Like the previous poster said 1 dining point restaurants don't have a dress code and even the 2 points one don't have a strong dress code.

There really are no dressy WDW restaurants except Victoria & Alberts. Even at the signatures you will see a number of guests in park clothes, which are not against the dress code there unless they include swimwear, cutoff shorts, torn clothing or "offensive" tee shirt slogans (or tank tops and hats on men - yeah, they say no hats on men, don't know if they enforce it). Still don't see any reason why you shouldn't wear what you want, even if it's dressier than most might be wearing. Don't worry about what anybody else may think.

It's definitely not necessary to dress up for Hoop de Doo, you won't stand out if you do unless you go whole hog, but it's a cross between a picnic and a hoedown, not a "dinner." You'll be doing a lot of eating with your hands, so don't wear anything that would be a problem if it got stained.

For in-park TS restaurants I really think you will end up feeling over dressed. They're all very casual places because the vast majority of people eating there are in the park for the park and dressed for the day accordingly. Our last time there we went to Chefs de France and several ladies showed up at check in heels and evening wear. That was weird IMO. Granted your description is not THAT dressy, but this is still a theme park environment we're talking about here. Dress how you like of course but it is something to consider.

I think TS dining at World Showcase lends itself well to getting slightly dressy, especially Le Cellier. I usually go in business casual (khakis and polo).

What do you mean by dressy? We always put on "going-out" clothes for when we go out to dinner. By "going-out" I mean jeans/pants and a nice shirt, not necessarily a skirt or dress.

Some of the restaurants are dressier...you will run into folks dressed up at Bluezoo and Flying Fish for example. I think it's because more business people dine there.

If you dress up nicely, you won't stick out. Unless you wear an evening gown. ;)

if you mean dressy atmosphere, i would certainly say Tutto Italia in Epcot. It could easily be a 2 TS. The atmosphere always makes me feel under dressed. It's the kind of place you'd want to dress up for, even though its not practical if in the park all day. :cloud9:

When we ate at The Wave in Dec. it was very cold that night. I wore a fleece jacket and jeans w/ tennis shoes. I felt very under dressed. That was probably the only time I felt that way.
