I know these buildings are the only ones with elevators. I'd like to know if all rooms in these buildings are HA?

No. Only 63 is a HA building, but they do reserve those buildings for people who can't access the stairs. This means folks who have ECVs etc.

My brother just joined our group and we're thinking of renting him an ECV. He's type 1 diabetic and tires very easily.

I don't really want a HA room though. Should I place a room request stating we'll have an ECV and we'd like either 62 or 64?

What else should I know about 62 or 64? Any bus noise issues, etc.? We'll be in a dedicated 2 BR.

My DH had to use a scooter this Dec. after having knee surgery. We requested a first floor or bldg with an elevator due to medical reasons. Be certain that you do the medical reasons in order to give it priority.

We ended up in bldg 62 on the first floor in a dedicated 2 bedroom. The unit itself was probably considered partially HA accessible in that it had grab bars in the master bath. The room looked out at a pond and golf green. We could also see one of the bridges of the road and you would could hear faint bus noise but nothing disturbing. It was extremely convenient access to HH and DH could motor over there without problem. It really was a perfect location for us.

I appreciate the detailed information.

Just to clarify, not every villa in building 63 is handicapped accessible.

And, there are different levels of accessibility. Villas that are fully accessible have roll in showers with a pull down seat.
There are other accessible villas that have grab bars and raised seat toilets.

My DH uses a scooter and we just requested a first floor room as we didn't want to possibly leave someone who really needed a HA room without one. DH doesn't need grab bars, raised toilet or roll in shower. We were given first floor in building 22-extremely quiet there. Being near the HH wasn't a concern for us, but if it is, than request that too.
