Someone posted about being clausterphobic on the other board so i thought I'd ask this. I do not like places that are wide open spaces, for example a stadium etc. Are most of the WDW rest like this? I do want to do character breakfasts with the kids but would hate to have a panic attack while there. I know which rides I can't handle but now Ive got to figue the dining out We have a condo so a lot of meals can be eaten there. But Disney dining sounds like fun so I'd hate to miss it. Any pointers

Your going to panic, most are big, then you have a giant animal with syrup all over him trying to hug you.

If you want a less than open place for breakfast, Donalds's Breakfastsaurus in the Amimal Kingdom has smaller rooms. with in the building. It is a large place, but the rooms have maybe 10 -12 tables in them, tables for 2 to 8 or 10 maybe. CP and CM seem to be more wide open, although CMs has booths and tables, so it is a little more broken up. I can't give you any advise on the other character meals, sorry. I think you would enjoy Donalds. If you are going to be in the AK, why not stop by for a look? You can alo peek in at any of the others, jusat go at a slow time, and ask the CM at the lectern if you could just look at the seating areas. You shouldn't even have to explain why.

Have a magical trip.

I can't think of any restaurants that are like a stadium at WDW. Chef Mickey's and Artist Point have very high ceilings and are fairly big restaurants. San Angel Inn and Alfredos seem more open to me too. Some of the counter service spots are large but are usually broken up into smaller rooms.

Perhaps we could help you more if you describe what dimensions you're comfortable with?

Thanks for the help. High ceilings are one of the things Im hoping to avoid. It's hard to expalin but Im more comfy at a table in a little corner than in the middle of a big room. It's a good idea to check out the seating before, I'll keep that in mind.

If memory serves, the "wine Room" at the California Grill and the '"Cabana room" at the Flying Fish would suit your requirements nicely.
I'll try and jog the memory banks and see if I can't come up with a few more.

Rose and Crown is cozy to me. The Plaza at the MK is a small space.

I would avoid the restaurants on the concourse level of the CR for sure. It's an open atrium ceiling.

I agree...check out the restaurants and if you mention to the host at the podium that you would like a table in a corner, I'm sure they'll do their best to help you.

I think you'd like Le Cellier. There are cozy tables at LTT (lunch is nice there). If you decide to dine at Alfredo's in Italy (not terrible but I can't recommend it either) make sure to ask to be seated in the side room. The main dining room IS huge, crowded and loud. I'm sure there are many more places that you will be comfortable in. I'll try to think of some more.
