This might be a weird question, but a couple of friends of mine are nurses, and their houses are so neat....so organized....everything in its place. I wish mine was more like that, unfortunately I am light years from being that way. Is that a nurse thing, or just a coincidence?

i have a friend who is a nurse who is not very neat, so maybe it is just a coincidence. :)

LMFAO! Depends on the nurse. Trust me. I work with 6 other women on our nursing staff that are quite varied in their home cleaning and organizational skills. Mickey

NO!... My sister is a nurse and neat is not a word I would use to describe her... :)

Not too neat at home:D but neat and organized as a nurse at my job!

My sil is a nurse and her home is sloppy.. very sloppy, almost condemned sloppy....

so to answer the question, no!

Well, my DH is a nurse and he is a slob, so is one of his paternal aunts who is a nurse as well. But his sister and a maternal aunt who are RNs are incredibly neat. Wait! I think I see the pattern! His dad's side of the family are slobs and his mom's are neat freaks! Oh, if I could only get them to come and clean up after DH and the kids!!

My SIL and my brother are both nurses. They're both neat freaks. One of my friends is a nurse and she cleans constantly. Maybe it's not a coincidence.

Yeah, neat is definitely not a life style for all nurses ... My sister is a nurse, nursing professor, & nurse practitioner (ugh, so many years of school) and you could eat off her floors, BUT, my older DD is a nurse and her house is ... ummm ... well, let's just say that sometimes I have to search to find my granddaughter amidst the clutter. I'm sure this will improve as my GD gets older - she will be taller and easier to find :)

if you where married to a nurse, would they let use a bed pan

I'm a nurse and I'm neat. Not a "neat freak", I just get pleasure from having my surroundings in order. BUT...........I have 4 kids!
This combination is the cause of many a meltdown for me. Kinda like mixing bleach and ammonia...it can be deadly.
(oops...sorry about the cleaning reference):jester:

Only if you empty it yourself buddy!:p

I like to keep things neat, clutter especially drives me crazy. My best friend, however, is a total slob. It's hard to find room in her house to walk. I think the patients she takes care of would freak out if they knew how nasty she keeps her house.

Heck no! I've worked with a few who are totally disorganized!

At my last job, we had a nurse with a messy office and piles-called it the "pack rat" room!

Sounds just like my cousin who is a Nurse Practitioner....YIKES! Nope, all nurses are NOT neat!

No, I do not think neatness and nursing are necessarily related. I have many co-workers who are not neat at all, I have many co-workers who are extremely neat. I myself think I am a pretty good combo...my house in comfy without being steril, but I do like it to be picked up and not cluttered.
