Are all Disney peel and eat shrimp served hot?

The shrimp cocktail at 50's PT was serve chilled, and tasted very fresh.

Does anyone know if the peel and eat shrimp at Ohanas is deveined. I don't think I could eat them if the weren't deveined.

Nikki - From what I understand, the shrimp at 'Ohana have not yet been peeled when you get them, so it seems they could not possibly have been deveined. I just don't know of any way to get that vein out without taking off the shell!

Around here at the cheaper buffets you get those nasty cold peel and eat shrimp. They are flavorless. We have seen then at the Crystal Palace. At the better restaurants around here you get the hot or warm peel and eat shrimp. Much better tasting. When I steam shrimp at home they have the shells on. We peel them and pop them in our mouths when they are warm.

Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Perhaps we are asking the wrong person about this. Anyone seen Bubba Gump? He knows all there is to know about the shrimping business.

To me, temperature is EVERYTHING. I like my peel and eat shrimp VERY VERY cold, but not quite frozen. Frozen is bad. I like them hot too, but cold is better to me. I think its regional too. Kinda like Iced tea. I can drink hot tea at chinese restaurants, but iced is the only way to go. I like my coffee either ICED or hot, never luke warm and pizza is great either hot or cold. Never luke warm! Theres lots of regional difference in many foods. Experimentation is great. Variety is the spice of life.
