Are 2 day enough to stay on Universal property? We are coming in on the 22nd of August, We were planning to stay for 4 nights but I think that maybe over kill. My best friend lives in Tampa and wants us to stay with her a couple of nights, so we would arrive at Universal on the morning of the 24th and check out the morning of the 26th to head over to Disney.

I was thinking that with FOTL access we would be able to pretty much do everything.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi there, you can certainly cover the highlights, but maybe not do everything. It's nice to have some time to enjoy your resort as well, and check out citywalk - so maybe 3 days to give you a little more time?

I would agree with Cass.

2 days is nice and you could probably cover everything in both parks with FOTL.

It would be nice to have 3 or 4 days to enjoy your resort, City Walk, and the other 2 resorts. As an on-site guest you can use the other pools at the other resorts as well. A nice perk!

anytime after august 20th you wil find the crowds thinning out at the park.

i would plan on 3 days for the parks to enjoy it all.

how many in your group? will you have kids with you or is it all adults that are going?

if it is all adults and you go to UO after the 20th, you should be fine to hit the hghlights of both parks in 2 days.
try for 2 nights and 3 days in the parks.

check in early on your first day, have the luggage stored for you if your room is not ready. on day 3 when you check out, your hotel key for fotl will be valid until the park closes that day.

2 nights on site and 3 days in the parks should be great for you.

Depends on what you want to do. We spend a whole week at RPR last Aug. It was perfect. We visited Sea World one day. We hung out at the pool each day. It was so relaxing and enjoyable!:goodvibes

I think we are going to skip our friends house and just stay at Universal. Our group consists of myself, DH, DS11, DS10 and DD1. So it will probably take us a little longer to tour the parks even with FOTL.

Now hopefully my friend won't be that upset if we don't stay at her house, for the first couple of days. She has been trying to get us to stay there for the length of our vacation.:confused3

You always need to remember that you are on vacation to have fun and relax. Giving yourself a short timeline puts you into race mode which is neithr fun nor relaxing.

I would HIGHLY suggest (like the others) that you stay the original amount of time. You can do one park each day.....hit the pool on the third day and for the last day go back and do the favorites.

JMHO - but cutting down your time means rushing around, with kids, in the August heat and that does not make for a relaxing vacation.

Sorry your friend may be mad...hopefully she will understand and sometime in the future you can go visit just her and her family!!

Have a great time!!

with 2 kids and a toddler, stay on site and don't rush your days.
have the friend drive up and spend some time with you at the pool if she wants to see you..

this is your family time to enjoy with each other. take the 4 days and stay onsite. you will not regret it.

2 nights is plenty. We just got back today and did exactly that -- 2 nights. With FOTL it's enough time.

I agree with the majority here! We're planning 3 nights next year so we can relax and not be rushed. We always do Disney in such commando style it will be nice to relax with FOTL. We have never stayed on property at Universal so we're REALLY looking forward to it. Too bad its so far away!
