Archived threads??

Where and how, exactly can I find these? I was searching my own and some others' old 'subscribed' threads and, they are 'missing'. Where and how do we find the older than 6-12 mos. threads, etc.?

Just as an example, I searched myself, PandyPaws and Dan Murphy. Looking for threads and, of course, pictures! Dan being the original picture taker and, Donna being the all-DIS picture Hostess! Not finding what I wanted tho.

Help!

Kim, I found it by accident. There is the scroll at the bottome that lets you jump from forum to forum. Well I went to another forum by using that. Hit the back button and then scrolled on the jump box again and clicked on Forum Archives. There seems to be no otherway to get there that I have found (but hey I am not all that bright so don't take my word for it). And if I totally confused you, just go to this link Forum Archives

Thanks Elaine!! You really cut down my search time!

BUT, I have to ask ~~ After HOURS of searching thru this Archive, I did and didn't find what I wanted. There's no 'search' function specifically about someone or something and, I'm still looking.

And, did anyone notice the name changes?? Go take a look! I have another name in the older/earlier posts as well as many others. And, some posts don't even show the posters name.

The actual picture posts I was looking for are there but, you can't click on them anymore or, see the actual pics in the thread. Lots of red x's and sites that are unattainable now. Seems like lots of pictures are lost.

I understand the 'read only' philosophy behind this but, if we can't link to these archives, what good is it?

I'm just glad I was able to send myself a few threads I wanted to keep but, if the server is ever unable to keep these memories, than those threads are lost forever.

Anyone else checked this out?

Yes, Kim, I have, and have the same questions. Hopefully, it is still a work in progress. Many of the pictures and other images are not showing up (I was able to find a few threads) because HTML code reading is not active there (I thnk that is the reason). I passed that on and said it would be looked in to. As it is at the moment, it is a difficult site.
