When we went, my sons were 9 and 13 and from what I could tell, the games were geared more toward them, but there are still the games that your son could play, like driving and stuff. The games are like at a regular arcade that you would find at a mall...not really designed for a young child, but still could be played by him. A lot of shooting games and fighting games. At least that is what I remember, I didn't pay that close attention. My 13 year old played more than the 9 year old.
To get the arcade card, you swiped your kttw card and chose the amount you wanted, I believe it was in $10, $15 increments....we got the boys $15 at a time. Since your son is young, it may not be a problem, but unless you turn off your son's card, he could charge all the arcade cards he wants, and you won't know. We turned off our sons cards right when we got on the ship, but due to a glitch in the computers, the cards didn't get turned off. Luckily we found out before he charged more than one arcard card!
Have fun! Tammy
