I have a couple of friends who are trying to convince me to try/sell Arbonne. I've done a little bit of research on it, and it just seems like all the other MLM's out there. Promising big payoffs, but I think in the end, the payoff is really not that big.

Anyone selling this, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I personally have no experience with Arbonne other than using a few of their products. They're good, but not any better than other products I have used. I did use to be a consultant for Discovery Toys and I can tell you in order to be "sucessful" with that you really have to recruit people--a lot of people. Arbonne is a bit different from DT in that people will probably re-order. So, I would imagine if you can get a big client base, you could do "ok". But, if you want to really do it for a living, I think you'd need to be able to recruit.

Beth I'm pretty sure recruitment is a big part of being successful with Arbonne. The products are very expensive and they last a long time, so I'm not sure how much you would earn with reorders.

I sold Pampered Chef before, and I know it takes a lot of work to be successful.

Hi Everyone,

I just stumbled upon this thread and thought I'd tell you my story. I began selling Arbonne 14 months ago and it is an incredible business. I live in Edmond, OK (the epicenter of Arbonne) and am surrounded by success stories. My children go to a tiny school and 19 of the moms drive the free company car (white Mercedes); 22 women at our church drive the car.

It is definitely a job, not a get-rich quick scheme. But it is a legitimate, smart way of doing business. You become successful by finding others who want to start their own business. I personally have only "recruited" about five people, but have about 60 people in my downline~whom I get paid on. The average income for those driving the Mercedes (this level is called Regional Vice President) is $6,600 a MONTH and the average income for the highest management level (National Vice President) is $29,000 a MONTH. I am one step away from my car!

The products and the company have a steller reputation. When you become a consultant, you are not thrown out on your own to figure it all out; it is teamwork. I've been in two states in the last week training people on my team.

I have never had to "push" the products or the business. They both speak for themselves. Arbonne offers six extensive product lines from baby care, cosmetics, nutritional supplement to anti-aging. I've heard some people say the products are a bit pricey, but for those who are purchasing high quality, anti-aging lines, you'll find they are very comparable. I was not very good about taking care of my skin before I began this business, but I have fallen in love with these products.

PM if you have any questions.

I just signed up to sell too...it's a low investment so I figure I could try it out.

Just wanted to comment on this. I have seen/heard people say that the products are too expensive but I am glad that you mentioned that they last a long time. Most of the products are dispensed in metered amounts so you use the right amount each time and each product in a set should empty at the same time. The RE9 anti-aging set is packaged to last six months. It retails for 266.00 but with a discount card, (29.00 and I usually buy them for my clients) the price is only 177.00. Plus we often offer discounts from that when we get someone who is trying to reach a goal and they need a few more sales. Last month I sold them at 133.00. Half price. So do not ever pay retail. I will always offer to people at least 35% off.

As for reorders, that part of the business is great for maintaining your business, but recruiting is the way to be successful and grow your business. Arbonne grew 150% from 2004 to 2005. It is only going to keep going.

I started this so we could buy DVC. Now I am making enough that I can pay for flights, meals, tickets, and treats PLUS our DVC points.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

Go Cowboys

I just did a search for Arbonne and found this thread. I was given a sample kit of the RE9 - LOVE IT  . I have toy'd with the idea of signing on as a consultant but have a few ???. Is there a minimum order you have to purchase quarterly, bi-annually, annually? I would like to first just start so that I can purchase the products for myself and my family. I have an 8 mo. old DD that I would love to try the products on and a 6 y/o DD who has EXTREMELY sensitive & dry skin. DS 8 also has really dry skin that I would like to use. I sold Creative Memories a few years ago but due to an extremely flooded market in our town, I had a hard time finding new customers. There was a $500 quarterly purchase and I quickly got myself in trouble having to purchase products to stay active. Could you tell me what needs to be achieved to remain active, discounts, etc. I really love the product. Thank you.

Last month I got a sample pack from my hairdresser to take home and try the Nutrimin C RE9 products. You can't sell the products in a shop (which he doesn't), he just told me about Arbonne one day when I was there to get my hair done and sent me home with samples.

I fell in love with how it made my sensitive skin feel. My skin used to feel dry all the time and had redness I didn't like. The redness is getting better.
It's true you only need to use a little at at time. So they last.

I signed up just because of the 35% discount paid for the sign up fee because I was planning to get the Nutrimin C set which retails for $266.

I really don't plan trying to make a career of this, although if someone asks me what I use on my skin I would highly recommend Arbonne.

Without the discount the products are pricey, but not more than you would pay at a high end cosmetic counter at a department store.
