Last time we were in Orlando we did the pirates adventure and DD loved it. This time, I thought we'd try Arabian Nights, especially since I was able to get a 50% off coupon from Restaurant.com. Actually, I got 2 coupons, the first was $3 and then just recently I was able to pick one up for $1 so who could pass it up? LOL! Anyway, the coupons limit you to 2 guests. We travel as Me, DH, DD(9) and BIL. I'm thinking maybe we'll split into two couples and use both the coupons. I know we may not get to sit together. What would you do? Pay the extra $50 or so or split up? Also, for anyone who has done this, should you really get the VIP? We did it for the pirates and in retrospect, it was a waste of money. Any other tips or advice?

DS and I did the VIP tour this past May and thought it was worthwhile. The tour includes a soft drink and a tour of the backstage area. There are photo opportunities with some of the 'main characters' (the horses), as well as a tour of their stables. It used to be more of a guided tour, but now you can tour on your own, at your own pace.

The biggest advantage is the up-front viewing for the show.

get there early - and I mean early - an hour and half before the show - then you sit up front and get to see the pre show - this was a very good pre show.

you need to make your reservations now -

I would save your money. We paid the extra for the VIP tour and I could have kicked myself for spending the money! It just wasn't worth it. We were seated in the second row near the 'stage', but the family sitting right next to DH had not paid the extra. I do think the secret is to arrive early as I had seen them waiting outside when we arrived.

For our extra $ we received a sticker (which they had made on their home computer), a nice poster (not worth the extra though), a soda, and a walk through one aisle of the stable...which looked like any other stable. Like I said...I could have kicked myself. :worried:

I didn't sit in the VIP section, but I don't think it would be worth it. I got my tickets from ticketmania.com I think I paid around $28 for an adult and $21 for a child. Just a thought in case that works out any better for you.

I REALLY hate to ask!!! We have never eaten at anything off site of WDW...but the Pirate thing sounds interesting for my son. Can I ask for details? What is it's name, where is it?...blah blah blah? : ) Web site link? Thread link? I'll be trying to find it in the archives. I just have such rotten luck usually!

THANKS;)

I'ts Pirates Dinner Adventure, I think. Do a web search and you should get a link. We did it last year, we had a similiar 1/2 off coupon to what I got for Arabian Nights this year. We payed for the preferred seating. DD (9) said she really enjoyed it. I thought it was entertaining enough. They divide the crowd into 4 sections and each section has their own pirate and the pirates "compete", Some people from the audience participate. And you cheer on your pirate and "team". The food leaves ALOT to be desired. Overall, if you can get it for $25-30 or so (and it includes beer and wine,) I would put it as good a value as a character dinner. I would never pay the full price and do the VIP add on. If DD wanted to go again, we probably would, but I know DH won't go back.

Good morning!

I just got back from my trip, and we went to the Arabian Nights show, but did not buy the VIP add on. I got a great price on tickets from Ticketmania, and I thought it was well worth the price I paid. The Wal Mart in Kissimmee has good prices on these tickets also. The food was very good, and the show was enjoyable. I really don't think I would go for the VIP upgrade, but that might be something for you. We had the vegetable lasagna, and the chicken, and truly enjoyed our meal.
