Aquatica questions from a non-swimmer

Hey everyone! Sad to say but I have never been to a water park before, pretty much because I can't swim. I've been invited to Aquatica for free in a few days though and I would really like to participate as much as possible.

How deep are the pools there? Are there slides that I can go on, without going underwater at the bottom? Thanks so much for any advice! :)

Most of the slides at Aquatica are tube slides or raft slides so you do not go underwater at all. The pools at the end of the slides are only 3-4 feet deep anyway so even if you weren't in a tube, you would still be fine. There are lifevests everywhere in all sizes and the only slide that is not a tube slide where you can't wear a life vest is the dolphin slide. Honestly, if the thought of being without a floatation device is too much for you, that slide is not that exctiting and could easily be missed (there is a better view of the dolphins from the lazy river or outside).
So, don't let your non swimming worry you!

Sorry...slam me....slam me twice

A person who KNOWS they can not swim should NEVER be in water deeper than their ankles.. (take showers, not baths)

Many of the slides at AQ are 'tube rides' true but if they dump at the end of the ride you are in 4 foot water and a person who can not swim can find themself in a TON OF TROUBLE dumped head over heels in 4 foot water. How do I know?

a) working as a lifeguard/lifesaver for over 30 years and pulling COUNTLESS people out of "only a couple of feet of water"

b) when I've taken the kids to AQ I've sat and watched for hours at the 'landing areas', even when it is a tube folks jump out and find themselves unexpectedly in 4 foot water with no feet under them and those nice lifeguards give them a hand. Wanna count on that? What happens if a kid that can't swim came down 10 seconds b4 you?

There is ONE attraction at AQ that is safe for you.....the 'racers' where the maximum water depth is about 2 inches.

Hmmmm ... can you enjoy being with your friend by taking pictures and holding the towels????? It is absolutely NOT SAFE to go on the attractions...even the tube ones...if you can't swim....don't go in the wave pool beyond your ankle depth...don't trust the 'rivers' with a life jacket... I AM A PROFESSIONAL in this area and I say DO NOT COUNT ON A LIFE JACKET.

If you listen to me but I am wrong the worst that happens is?

If I am right and you don't listen the worst that happens is?
