Is it possible to do Wet N' Wild and Aquatica in 1 day during the summer (August)?

I guess you could spend 4-5 hours at each one as they will have later closing times in the summer,I remember several years ago Wet n Wild used to close like at 11pm during the summer,I don't believe they do that anymore so expect closing times of 8-9pm.One thing to remember is even though the hours are a bit longer crowds will be huge so you might spend longer than you'd like in lines especially from like 11-3pm,lines and crowds decrease around 5-6pm so you might get more done in the second park in fewer hours so I would spend longer at the first park.Another thing to consider is when in August are you going? If it's later in the month kids go back to school and you will probably see those later operating hours drop to 6pm,in which case I wouldn't spend the money to go to a second park. The parks are a 5-10 minute drive from each other so getting from one to another won't be an issue, but the last issue would be the weather as from June through early October rain and thunderstorms are very common in Florida and could ruin all or part of your day.Keep an eye on the forecast the days leading up to the trip and pick the day with the least rain chance to go to the waterparks, you could go ride something indoors at a theme park but not at a waterpark as if there's any lightning within a certain distance of the parks everyone has to go get out of the rides or pools and find shelter,I think I spent one day like 3 hours in the Typhoon lagoon gift shop waiting to see if the weather got better, it never did.I think a lifeguard at Adventure Island the waterpark in Tampa was killed this year by lightning so it's no joke.

We'd probably be going around the 10th of August give or take a day. The problem is the budget. We were trying to consolidate two days into one, but we didn't want to buy the park hopper for Disney.

P.S. As I'm typing this we found a good hotel that will save us $500 for when we're not in Disney.

Thanks a lot for the help! :)
