Aqua duck hours when in port

Is the aqua-duck water slide open when the ship is in port on Nassau? What are the usual hours for it? How bad does the line get?

An old navigator says 12-3 and 4:30-10pm on the day we leave. Hope this helps!

I've never seen long lines for the AquaDuck while the ship is in port, but then again I always cruise in September when the ships aren't very full to begin with. I imagine if you cruise during a busier season, you might have longer lines.

The AquaDuck is open when the ship is in port, provided the weather conditions are safe. If it's too windy, they will only allow double riders (no single riders) and if it gets too bad, they close the AquaDuck completely.

I know my parents tried to go on it while we were in port in Nassau, and it was closed due to wind conditions. So even if the Navigator says it's open, it's not guaranteed to be open!

Yes, it will be open while in port. Typical hours for Aquaduck are 9am - 11pm. Just check your Navigator for times. Nassau is one port where lots of folks stay onboard so the line will be comparable, but not quite as long, as a sea day.

If memory serves, port days it closed at 10:00 p.m. and sea days it closed at 11:00 p.m.

As I recall, the AquaDuck was open before 10am while in port at Nassau because that's about the time we got there. Lines were fairly low (<20 minutes, sometimes walk-on) until maybe 2-3pm when many passengers begin returning from port excursions.

On our Eastern a few weeks ago, we came back shortly after lunch on our St. Maarten port day (long story). My daughter was able to ride the Aquaduck 10 times in a row with the longest wait being no more than 2-3 minutes.
