Aqua Cool scarf

I was reading over on the Disney Tip board about this product. Something that you wear around your neck that is supposed to keep you cool all day. They mentioned that Disney has caught on and is selling them in the parks. Have you ever seen this product sold at Universal?

Have any of you used them? I would like some feedback, please.

I think I saw something that was like a portable AC that you hung around your neck. It also costs $50!

Yes, Barry that's from The Sharper Image, there's one a block away from where I work (in NYC) I've been contemplating on getting one. . .

What I was referring to is a scarf . . . like a bandana filled with some sort of special bead. You soak it in water for 20 minutes before wearing and wear it around your neck and it somehow regulates your body temperature to keep it cool. They run about $2.50 at Wal-mart and supposedly Disney sells a version with the characters on it for $5.00 so I guess I was wondering if there was a "Hulk" version or a "dinosaur" type for sale at US/IOA.

This $50 thing sounds good too but a whole lot priceier!

JC, yes the one from Sharper Image is actually a type of collar that has some kind of air-conditioner which cools down your body but the scarf sounds a lot better to me, I'm going to look in WalMart or if not maybe I'll get one at Disney. Thanks for the info, that fits much better into my budget! LOL!

These things are packaged really small, just a flap of cardboard hanging on a peg so they are very easy to overlook!

They have them in the sporting goods section and if you ask an employee, they can certainly direct you to the appropriate spot.

I haven't actually used one yet so I don't know how well they work but I guess its pretty cheap to give it a try.

I bought one for my trip later this week and it works great! We had temps of about 98 and the heat index was 115. I mowed my lawn while wearing it. While I was still hot, I think it would have been much worse without it. I got mine at Wal-Mart as well.
